SRL «University Students’ Validative Competences Formation in the Process of Self-directed Activity in Foreign Languages» was established in 2016 on the basis of the Department of Foreign Languages of Mykhailo Tuhan-Baranovskyi Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade. Since 2019, the Laboratory operates on the basis of the Department of Foreign Philology, Ukrainian Studies and Social and Law Disciplines.

The purpose of the Laboratory is theoretical justification and experimental verification of the effectiveness of technologies for the formation of validative competencies of university students in the process of self-directed activities in foreign languages, implementation of research results in practice and learning process.

Main research areas are:

  • theoretical and methodological principles of formation of didactic competence of university students
  • development of multicultural competence of students in the framework of profile foreign language teaching
  • didactic conditions of formation of social competence of university students in the process of self-directed educational activity
  • technologies of formation of validative competencies of university students in the process of self-directed educational activity in foreign languages
  • formation of subject competencies of students in the process of self-directed educational activity.
